1. Fundamental Privacy Principle: Local-First & Zero-Cloud

At Ahl (أهل) ("the Application", "we", "us"), we believe that your family's financial life, income, and expenditures are sovereign and intimate personal matters.

Our Core Guarantee: The Application operates strictly on a Local-First, Zero-Cloud architecture. We do NOT operate remote database servers that store your financial transactions, salaries, contributor names, or budget balances.

Everything you record inside the Application remains stored exclusively in encrypted SQLite storage on your physical device.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

To ensure complete transparency, we explicitly declare that Ahl does NOT collect, request, transmit, or monetize:

No Bank Credentials: We never ask for online banking logins, passwords, OTP tokens, or debit/credit card numbers.
No Financial Transaction Telemetry: We cannot see your income figures, contributor names, recurring expenses, or Zakat amounts.
No Identity or Contact Harvesting: We do not ask for or collect your national ID, phone contacts, email address, or GPS location.
No Data Brokering: We never sell, rent, license, or disclose your financial information to marketing networks or third parties.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is created and saved strictly within your smartphone's private app sandbox:

Household Contributors: Names (e.g. Self, Spouse) and allocated monthly incomes used for automatic inflow calculations.
Subscriptions & Categories: Services you select from our catalog or custom subscriptions you add (renewal frequency, cost, tags).
Seasonal Budgets & Expenses: Allocations for Ramadan, Eid, education, and daily expenses.
Zakat Benchmarks: Your recorded cash/gold assets and short-term obligations for Nisab checks.

4. Third-Party Service Providers (Google Play)

The Application utilizes trusted platform services strictly to facilitate app delivery and optional subscriptions:

Google Play In-App Billing: Processes Pro subscriptions and one-time payments. Google handles payment card data securely in accordance with the Google Payments Privacy Notice. We never receive or store your card or bank account details.
Anonymized App Stability (Crash Reporting): To diagnose unexpected crashes across various Android devices, anonymized non-personal crash logs (device model, Android OS version, stack trace) may be collected. These traces never include user financial records or personal identities.

5. Compliance with GCC Personal Data Protection Laws (PDPL)

Ahl is developed with strict adherence to regional privacy mandates, including:

Saudi Arabia: Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL, Royal Decree M/19).
United Arab Emirates: Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 regarding Personal Data Protection.
Qatar: Law No. 13 of 2016 concerning Personal Data Privacy Protection.

Because all personal and financial data resides locally on the user's phone, users maintain complete sovereign data autonomy and retention control at all times.

6. Data Portability, Deletion, and Backups

You have unconditional control over your data:

Export: You can export your full transaction records to standard CSV or Excel files at any time.
Local Backup & Restore: You can create an encrypted local backup file and save it to your personal storage or transfer it to a new phone.
Total Erasure: Deleting the Application or tapping "Clear All Data" in Settings permanently erases all local database records from your device immediately.

7. Children's Privacy

Ahl is a family financial organization tool intended for adult household heads and decision makers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
